Aligned to CDM regulations, NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK) is guided by legislation but focussed on best practice. With an emphasis on practical application, successful learners will be able to:

Assessment

The course is presented in two different models:

– The 5 Day course Model; this is the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health “Bolt-on” course which covers the required additional content to for learners who are current NEBOSH National General Certificate holders (passed within the last 5 years).

– The 10 Day Course Model; this is a stand alone version of the course which delivers the full NC1 syllabus content.

The course is assessed by an “open book” case study assessment, which will be based on a realistic scenario, that will test both what you know and what you can do. You have 48 hours to complete and return the assessment after receiving the case study information from NEBOSH. This is followed by a closing interview to confirm that the submitted assessment is all your own work.

 

Course Programme

The course is presented in two different course models:

Block Release [5 day] course – 1 x 1 week block [not including weekends].

Block Release [10 day] course – 2 x 1 week blocks [not including weekends].

Learners who are current NEBOSH National General Certificate holders (passed within the last 5 years) can do this qualification as a 5 Day “Bolt-on” course. The 5 day “Bolt-on” course delivers the required syllabus content to build on the learning from their previous study and achieve the full construction qualification. Please note there is a pre-course reading requirement for learners who choose this course model to refresh their General Certificate knowledge before attending the course.

Learners who are not current NEBOSH National General Certificate holders do the 10 day version of the construction course; which delivers the full NC1 syllabus content.
